What to Bring/Wear
It's winter in Ontario - and it's February. So bundle up with boots, gloves, warm toques, scarves and enough layers to keep you warm without impeding your walking.
Lost + Found
A lost and found / welcome desk area will be set up at Trinity Lutheran Church so if you drop a mitten or scarf you'll know where to ask for it to start - and if you find some extra stuff lying around be sure to drop them in.
Route Details
The London WALK offers participants the opportunity to walk a beautiful 5.2 km route that runs west to Richmond across Oxford, south to York and then after stopping into our men's shelter, north on Maitland and returning to Trinity Lutheran - walkers can double that distance to complete their 10km choice.
As well - we are offering a short 2.5 km loop for parents with children or anyone else who prefers a shorter route.
Rest Stops
Rest stops will be provided approximately at the 2.5 and 5km marks providing some shelter, some heat, a bathroom and some yummy snacks and warm drinks.
Route Safety
We will have volunteers at key corners and intersections as well rest stop volunteers and some support vehicles keeping an eye on everyone.
