The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of the North Okanagan Rent Bank, which helps people stay in their homes during financial emergencies. Let's support people experiencing the risk of homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
At CMHA Vernon, we have built a community of support for individuals and their families living with mental health challenges, from youth programs to housing to education to employment to psychosocial rehabilitation. We help everyone in our community find the best type of care or service to match their need.
CMHA is dedicated to mental wellness, and housing stability is a key component of health. Adequate, suitable and affordable housing contributes to our physical and mental well-being. It leads to increased personal safety and helps decrease stress, leading to improved sleep and diet. All of these factors result in better mental health outcomes.
Funds from the 2025 CNOY will go to the North Okanagan Rent Bank, a homelessness prevention program that helps to provide housing stability for low to moderate income renters who are unable to pay rent or utilities due to an emergency that compromises their ability to pay.
CNOY 2025 will be held at Vernon's Civic Memorial Park, the site of the former Civic Arena.
